Worship ceremony at Munakata Taisha Hetsumiya Shrine, a World Cultural Heritage site
世界文化遺産 宗像大社辺津宮にて参拝
After the opening remarks at the Uminomichi Munakata-kan, you will practice meditation at Munakata Taisha, stroll through its serene shrine grounds, and admire Japan’s National Treasures at the Shinpokan Museum—deepening your understanding of Munakata’s history as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
海の道むなかた館での開会の辞の後、宗像大社で座禅、境内散策、神宝館で国宝を鑑賞し、世界遺産に登録された宗像の歴史を深く掘り下げます。

Hands-on fishing experience with local fishermen
玄界灘にて地元漁師直伝の海釣り
Learn about the sea and Munakata’s Shinto rituals from local fishermen, then try your hand at fishing and immerse yourself in the waters of Konominato. (Rain contingency: mochi-pounding or similar.) Your catch will be prepared for dinner at Genkai Ryokan, where you’ll be staying overnight.
地元の漁師から海と宗像の神事について学び、神湊の海で釣りを体験。（雨天の場合は餅つきなどのアクティビティ体験）釣った魚は、今夜宿泊する玄海旅館で夕食として調理されます。

Check-in at Genkai Ryokan, time to enjoy the large public bath or the private open-air bath, change into a yukata, and relax in your room
玄海旅館にてチェックイン 浴衣でゆったり
The main public bath captures the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese bathhouse, complete with a huge mural of the epic Miare Festival. Your room also features a private open-air bath where you can relax to the sound of waves, soak in the true essence of a Japanese ryokan and unwind in your yukata.
伝統的な日本の銭湯の雰囲気を再現した大浴場には、壮大な御阿礼祭を描いた壁画が飾られています。客室には露天風呂もあり、日本旅館の真髄を味わいながら浴衣でおくつろぎいただけます。

A lavish dinner of seafood and local vegetables & ingredients
海の幸と地元野菜の懐石料理でご夕食
The kaiseki course will feature the fish you caught, alongside a variety of other seafood and fresh local vegetables. (We’ll inquire about and accommodate any allergies/dietary restrictions in advance.)
釣った魚をはじめ、様々な魚介類や地元産の新鮮な野菜を使った懐石料理をご用意しております。（アレルギーや食事制限など、事前にご相談いただければ対応いたします）

Japanese summer festival featuring seaside Bon Odori & Ennichi (festival fair)
海辺の盆踊りや縁日など日本の夏祭りを体験
Experience Bon Odori, a traditional Japanese dance performed around a wooden platform on the beach.The Genkai Yokocho’s festival fair, right next to the inn, is also a must-see.
浜辺に置かれた木製の壇の周りで踊られる日本の伝統的な踊り、盆踊りを体験してください。宿のすぐ隣にある玄海横丁のお祭りも必見です。
